I ended up going with the ST1521 ,which is the 15 split shaft at a discounted price of $199.99. Reason being that I read that the Line IQ has faulted many. Still a good price though.

My Lowes in Erie, CO has the ST1623T on sale for $229. The deal includes the 4.0 amp battery *plus* a bonus 2.5 amp battery.

YMMV, but considering the list price for the 2.5 amp battery is $179, this is a *screaming* deal.

Bought it on amazon for $300 and was able to return the 2.5amp battery for $94.72 refund.
