I'll never touch a best buy open box. Tried 10 times and all of them are trash condition even though labeled as as excellent

At this size, is the quality as noticeable as on 65-77 inch?
Thinking of just buying a cheaper 42 for a spare bedroom then the money on this.

Bought a C2 42" at a similar price last year to use as a monitor. Mounted on a VESA arm, speakers are surprisingly good enough that I'm not using externals, and the PPI is correct for macOS.

It goes without saying that image quality is superb. The Windows subpixel layout issue doesn't exist on Mac.

If you are thinking about it and have the space and distance, do it.

I want this and the 48" (which is also on sale) to drop another 10%. It's bound to happen. TVs are still flooded in the market.

4k@42" is 104 PPI, 1440p@27" is 110 PPI. Just an FYI for anyone looking to get this as a monitor.

Isn't the subpixel layout an issue with the TV itself (unrelated to OS)?

Open box can also be a steal if unused. Got a C2 open box for like $700 in past & still had peel on it.

Keep in mind open box LG items are void of all warranty.

How was that experience? I'm worried about damage and returned shipping?

Can you say who you bought it from?
