I really like their madras lentils. We mostly mix that in with rice... tis might save a step.

This brand is not very good, no idea why Slickdeals keeps featuring it. The bag content is too much for 1 person, but too small to split between 2. Leftovers doesn't refrigerate well, even adding a drizzle of water to soften it didn't help. Costco and Aldi carry brands of higher quality and better value.

390 calories seems like a decent meal for one person. Definitely not too much

400 calories just for some carbs is definitely too much. There's zero nutritional value in rice

Is there any other brand for Indian food which is less expensive?
This is $2+ for 9-10oz, and one packet isn't enough for one meal.
Perhaps something canned?

Used to buy this brand at Costco all the time. Prices have increased dramatically in the past couple of years. Over $2 per package on sale (almost $3 at regular price) for basically 1 cup of rice and a few lentils, which is barely enough for one person, is crazy.
