Even though it specifies "new user" only, I was able to apply the product key to my existing quicken subscription and extend it out another year.
Note: you have to be less than 6 months from subscription expire to extend.
Fantastic deal!

Just so you know, the "Quicken Classic Deluxe for 1 User, Windows/Mac/Android/iOS, Download (170476)" works with this coupon too. No need to pick up when you get a link/code via email.
I didn't complete checkout since my subscription has over a year left on it, the notes state it's for new users only (though I read that others stated it worked for renewal in this thread), and I hate supporting this company and their awful subscription model. I'm just hoping for some real competition someday in the future.
Looking back at my price history, $25.99 is around the lowest it's been (my all time low was $20 in early 2021), but I don't think I'm ready to buy yet...

> A membership can only be extended in the last six months of a subscription term. Therefore, multiple terms cannot be purchased and used at once to extend a membership. Retail purchases: Activation codes are good for one year after purchase.
Posted that as I was about to place an order for the download version and only noticed it on the final screen.

They looked for the right program, but didn't have it or couldn't find it. They had brought out a couple of versions to check the UPC and had the premier, so I asked them if they would upgrade me to premier since I had already driven there twice. They said sure! So they refunded me, like $28.xx, the premier rang up to $90 something including tax. I told them about the coupon and it should come out to the same amount they just refunded me, so they marked the price down to $24.99 + tax. All in all they just made a mistake and took care of me perfectly fine. I figured this was all a long shot anyway.
I blame Intuit for dropping Quicken when they bought mint.com, running Turbo Tax and Quicken promotions so all the boxes have both quicken and turbotax written on them, and of course for dropping mint.com. Just deleted all my mint.com data today.
I hope it works as an upgrade as my Deluxe sub ends in November. There are no expiration dates on the box or card, so I don't see how it won't work.
Quite a little SD adventure this afternoon!
I did successfully go back to 2016 for a couple years, but made the mistake of updating my email address and I get blank screens for logging into my Quicken account so I could no longer use 2016 and went back to the subscription version. I swear they have those blank screens baked in somewhere and will NOT help you even if you are a current subscriber because they don't want you to go back to the software based version.
