Then you know Pinarello is a well regarded maker!
If that's the case maybe showing people example(s) where one can spend a lot less for less weight would be helpful?
Don't know about anyone else but boat anchor paints a pretty awful picture!
I love bike deal discussions. I don't know anything about bikes so I end up getting a lot of previously unknown information. Also, next to oil threads (and a recent thread about SS flasks which turned way more contentious than than it should have) these threads produce some of the most interesting discussions.

I just order this. There is tax and about $79 for shipping.
Looking at Youtube, this may require some or lots of assembly. Not sure how it comes from Excel Sports.
I would expect it to come partially assembled in a shipping carton. After assembly, you might want to take it to a good bike mechanic to have it checked over - wheels trued, etc.

The kitchen and folding/pocket knife discussions can get pretty tense as well. A lot of ignorance in all these threads.
A few things that are only based on my opinion:
* Fully internal cable routing is so beautiful it's worth the added weight and cost
* The extra curves in forks, top tube and seat stays seem... excessive. I'd prefer a straighter geometry.
* I never liked wide ratio gears in the back. It's harder to find the right gear to match your cadence.
In spite of all that, if I had the money burning a hole in my pocket I'd spend it on a bike very much like this.

I always get a kick when this discussion comes up!
Can't tell how many times I've run into people making/follow this argument and the engine doesn't match!
If the engine isn't up to par, that slight weight difference isn't really gonna do much imo.
You're putting the cart before the horse, not to mention at a much higher cost.
I raced juniors, collegiate, and after with several friends going to Europe to be pros. My life has mostly been surrounded by cycling so I'm not coming to this saying 19lbs awful. I'm saying spending $3300 for 19lbs is excessive when you can spend a lot less for less weight. And weight does matter in certain situations.

If I was buying this, I'd look to immediately replace the tires (even staying with Pirelli) and then upgrade the wheels down the line.
Not as light as the F but the design is similar. Should last you YEARS if maintained
