Looking at the sides, it looks like the narrow pieces are thinner. I've seen this on some cheaper Vietnamese and Chinese manufactured ones. I don't like it, the boxes don't resist forces if these is something heavy against it, or when there is trapezoiding forces due to not being properly level.

and I got to close to a similiar deck box with my string trimmer and it shattered the plastic...

Spend the money get a better one, I have two rubbermaid boxes. Same style of look, had them in my back yard in South FL for almost 10 years still good
