Glass was a disappointing end to an otherwise brilliant parts one and two. They could have done so much with the third one but too many plot holes and just terrible storytelling ruined it.

2017 Mummy is okay standalone but didn't do enough for the Monster reboot.

I heard Glass was okay but not nearly as good as Split. I'll bite for $3

As much as I like Tom Cruise, 'The Mummy (2017)" is... well, not his best movie and a waste of his talent.

Thanks for the heads up. Looks like all 3 movies are eligible for Universal All-Access points. I'm pretty sure they only give 500 points each though. 1,000 points are for movies that are less than a year old.

Underwhelming/lackluster is the word. I started this 4k digital movie 3-4 years ago and never finished it.

Glass suuuuuuucked. Sure, it's just $3, but what's your time worth?

Like many others, a $3 movie, where you don't have to buy anything else, is tantalizing, but I have to stop myself and not buy a bunch of stuff I'll never actually use...or watch, in this case. I just watched the trailers and A Dog's Purpose seemed like it would be better than the ratings it seems to have. I am more of a drama guy, but not particularly sappy or into dogs.

Completely agree. We should have known better too! Leave it to M. Night Shyamalan to build intrigue and character investment around a compelling story and then, POOF! Pull a gotcha, b****!

I swear, I'm not sure if I can think of any other once-upon-a-time hot ticket director out there that has been as incredibly good one year and equally terrible the next. I mean, he has made some iconic films... and he has also made some of the worst things I've ever spent time watching.

We just... we should have known... The Village, The Happening, After Earth!!!? After Earth for God's sake!? Apparently, in the future, humanity has evolved to the point that everyone has a speech impediment where we can no longer pronounce an, "R" sound...

I'm ranting. I just wanted to agree but then I had a beer and got carried away

The deal looks to be dead for A Dog's Purpose at least.

The Village is a fantastic movie so lumping it in with those others is comical.

I liked The Village a lot, too, but we're in the minority.

Bit of a narcissist, eh? At least Mbilo was respectful (and realistic) in their post (which I respect in turn). Just because you liked a movie I reference in a very short list of bad movies M. Night Shyamalan made, you hyper focused on it and ignored the big message.

Tell you what, pretend I never mentioned The Village and replace it with The Last Airbender, Lady in the Water, or Old in your head and maybe you can get over yourself long enough to get what was being conveyed.

Any one of the films I mentioned has someone out there that liked them. It doesn't matter how bad, someone out there rated it as a 10/10 on IMDb or rotten tomatoes or whatever. That doesn't automatically mean that the majority of people who do not consider a movie to be good are automatically, "comical" for believing it. What is, "comical" is when someone thinks they are actually saying something by defending a supporting detail in a post (made in jest) of a frustrating reality surrounding the inconsistent nature of a controversial artist.

In other words, if you look up, you might catch a glimpse of the point going by...

There is a way to say something like you understand you aren't the center of the universe and then there is what you did.

All of that being said, yes, I BELIEVE that the village is probably the least offensive inclusion on my list when compared to the others. I don't think it was a masterpiece but then again, I don't have to for you to enjoy it and that is just fine. I can respect your stance without belittling it as, "comical" (even if the majority does lean far more in favor of that perspective than the alternative)

"There are dozens of us"

Well three at least. I haven't seen it since it was new so idk how it holds up. But I enjoyed it a lot back then. I haven't seen most of his other stuff though. Really just sixth sense, signs, this and recently watched unbreakable which was pretty good.

It goes without saying that his best work is when he wrote the script for She's All That.
