I have never seen a blanket like this made of anything else, so if anything the mandatory comment would be if it wasn't polyester.

I keep buying these blanket, bedsheets cuz of SD effect… only so much i can keep shoving in the closet hoping wifey won't notice.

As long as you don't mind a blanket made of plastic, it's fine. I've been trying to replace as much of my daily use plastic as possible with natural products. (Sheets, pillows, pillowcases, blankets, plates, bowls, etc.) It's actually quite a hard task to accomplish.
