TBH, the 29 forks (and shocks and droppers etc) were on sale too for a couple of months.

Most of what is left are the 27.5s because the popularity of that wheel size is down, that part is true.

Also the framing of the industry failing and crashing and whatnot that we keep reading/watching YT channels pushing etc, is IMHO, in bad faith: these companies enjoyed an unprecedented growth in sales and revenue during and the first years after COVID. Sales being "halved" soon-after they were doubled is an expected/predictable correction and not a catastrophe.

Regular people are supposed to be mature and save for a rainy day instead of spending all they got, but companies are "obviously" exempt to do the same with rainfall profits.

If you buy one of their half priced dropper posts, expect it to need to be sent it in for new seals and a nitrogen charge. I bought 2, both are weak, sent one it for for rebuild, came back strong but sticky and not smoothly operating...I have 5 droppers and my fox are the worst functioning (two of which are brand new).

If you're looking for a deal on a rear shock, FOX thru their direct web store has some shorter stroke sizes of the DHX2 coil shock and the X2 air shock on sale for half price. As long as the eye to eye fits your bike, travel can be adjusted by removing the stroke reducers.

For example… the float X2 230x57.5 is on sale for $349 and the 7.5mm stroke reducer can be removed to increase stroke to the full 230x65mm. These are 2022/23 shocks with full warranty. 2024 has redesigned internals but if you have a problem, fox will replace your shock with a 2024 under warranty. Since the X2 is a little more complicated than the dhx2 or float x, my bike shop did the conversion for me for $30.

Was the Z1 you bought new? I'd be interested in one at that price.
Colorado Cyclist has the Z1 coil for $325 in 150-180mm (easy to swap travel).

Damn there are good deals to be had here. Grabbed some bibs, a helmet, socks, and a 1x SRAM RED AXS groupset.

MTB? - Troy Lee Designs Stage MIPS Stealth Full-Face Mountain Bike Helmet.

Bought full face this time. Good also for OneWheel get offs where your teeth are not affected.

Universal Cycles and Jenson USA have plenty of 29er Fox forks that they are blowing out. This has been an ongoing thing for awhile that predates Black Friday 2023.

any recommendation on a decent dropper upgrade? I have a KS Rage-i Dropper that came with my bike and it's bad (sticky, slow to move). Been thinking Crankbrothers but 🤷 ♂️ not sure there's a reasonable sub $1k upgrade path.
Ninpointeight Fall line. Super light, super legit. Just don't over pressurize, else risk hemoraging your chode.

Some good deals here if they work for your needs. I just upgraded my basic Fox 36 to a 36 Factory during the last sale and the prices were similar. Great upgrade for my Santa Cruz. I see a similar one for a little less than I paid, so prices are continue to drop.

We aren't near the bottom of this price fall. The entire industry is in free-fall and the price collapse continues. Deals will be there for the foreseeable future. If you know what you want, wait for it to be on sale as it likely will be at some point in the next 2-3 months. And then again later. Some really great deals are now starting to show up in the used market too.

27.5" isn't a real wheel size, pass.
The back tires on two of my bikes say otherwise.

lol same here. My Recon 130mm is lightly used listed at $70, maybe time to lower it?
darn, the Recon is one of the best entry/mid level forks. I've used it on two builds and they work well.

Fork prices are crashing hard.

Just bought a marzocchi bomber z1 for under $300 last week.

Can't even get rid of my new take-off recon for $100 on marketplace.
Where are these $100 recon golds?!
