That said, if you travel over 6 hours, the signature sony headphone ear cramping will come to play ( I don't know why, but they have had this poor ear chamber design since 1990), I would get bose instead if you do long haul flights
And yes, I have them all
Bottom line is that XM5 may only be a slight upgrade with regard to ANC, however this may not even be noticeable. Both are great options. I don't think you would regret purchasing the XM4's and saving ~$50.

How does the ANC compare with xm4 and the QC?
When I click the deal link, I see the product on ebay still available, under Secondipity.
however, if I look a the seller, this product is not on their list of items for sale.

Bottom line is that XM5 may only be a slight upgrade with regard to ANC, however this may not even be noticeable. Both are great options. I don't think you would regret purchasing the XM4's and saving ~$50.
