Yep those codes are a scam. It may work the first time but if you ever have to reregister it will say too many devices.

You will only see new accounts on eBay trying to sell these because their accounts keep getting shut down.

Thanks, perfect timing for me. I had a 4 year subscription for 2 devices that I paid a little over $10 for and now the renewal price is $48.87.

Hopefully you can get at least a couple of months out of it. Malwarebytes (as a company) is known for being able to determine if key code is stolen/fake/etc. Usually get inactivated with update

Unless something has changed recently, no. So just keep the code(s) somewhere safe and don't activate them until your existing ones are about to expire.

I only need this for one computer. Anyone know of a deal on one license, or want to split the cost?

It is a very fine program that I have been using for years.
HOWEVER:
it does sometimes give false positives
it interferes with a popular rebate extension

how's this any better than whats already come packaged with microsoft defender?
i used to have lifetime access. had several keys but misplaced the cd and a windows re install meant lost my codes on both laptops. and of course support is not able to help recover keys.

Cool, I've got exactly 30 days left on my current one.

Quick question though: I'm going to have to reinstall Windows in a couple months; is that going to count as a different device (wasting 2 of the 3 keys for one machine)? It's been so long, I can't remember how this is handled.

Looks like it does - I was able to add it to my existing account no problem.
Might have to re-activate when my current license expires in May. I don't know if this is what you meant by "stacking" but hope it helps!
