Very interested in this.
Soldered memory ugh. Guess that's OK. Is the hard drive replaceable?
How good is the screen? Seems decent. How's the CPU?
Thanks

What's the minimum watts needed to use this thing over USB-C? 100w? I travel a lot, so that's important to me but I'm also looking for something a little bit more powerful then my current laptop (Latitude 7340). Also, does anyone know the weight?

https://slickdeals.net/share/iphone_app/fp/922759 Very similar to this expired deal. Only 16g memory and laptop can't be customized like prior deal. You should be able to add on another HD later on. And since this is the regular Lenovo site and not business pro, cash back offers should work. I'm seeing best 12% from R*ku. Should stack with any Amex offer if you have one. So possible $850ish for me if I can get the cash back and AMEX to work. Not bad for OLED/good gaming laptop.

100W from what I have around, but it switches to the 780M graphics

Just placed my order. Able to use additional 5% off id.me discount for medical/first responder. AMEX also confirmed my $100 back on $750 purchase at lenovo.com. If I get the 12% cashback from R*ku then this will be a great deal.

Note, I believe you can keep the Laptop operating with the dedicated GPU if you set the computer to dGPU mode in vantage software or bios (this is what I do when using an Anker power bank with 100w output to the usb c port).

The OLED screen is fantastic. If you have the option, I would consider configuring with 32GB RAM since it was only like a $50 upgrade when I ordered mine around Black Friday. It was a similar upgrade price to the 1TB drive at the time. Very easy to add second NVME SSD (I added a 4TB SSD to the second slot). For those on the fence, I've been very happy with this laptop, with the only really shortcoming being short battery life when running the dedicated GPU on graphic intensive applications, but you can balance the performance/battery/noise using the power profiles, or use the onboard graphics for lighter tasks (at which point it becomes equivalent to something like the ROG Ally).

FYI you can knock this down to 983.94 w/ ID.me plus the GAMEXTRA8 coupon. Decent deal. The only difference between this and the Best Buy deal last week is the 512GB SSD vs the 1TB. I opted for Best Buy because I already have Total Tech.

If you get this through Lenovo, I recommend maxing out the basic depot warranty plus accidental damage protection for about 170 for 48 months.

This deal is slightly less good than the recent best buy deal; same price but with 1tb hard drive. Otherwise good if you're ok with 500GB SSD

Tried to configure the laptop on Lenovo site to upgrade SSD to 1TB and RAM to 32 but the price jumps to over 1350 with coupons applied. :-(

So I used your link, the website is a total mess but was able to find the Slim 5 oled model with the 1TB SSD and 16 GB RAM model for $944, Total came to $1034 shipped which was a little less than the Best Buy deal from last week for the same model.

I am not sure I could replicate it as the website was a mess but for anyone interested use this link then search for the slim 5 model and good luck.

The inventory for this model is limited on the Lenovo website. Deals aside.

I've been watching this laptop and the similar spec ROG Zephyrus since Black Friday and finally jumped. The extra SSD slot was a plus, but the damn soldered memory. I really wanted to build it out with 32GB memory but didn't like the 250ish more before tax and 1 month wait. The 12% R cashback and cheaper extended warranty through Lenovo made it easier to pick this one. It sucks Asus wont let you buy an extended warranty from them if its sold from Best Buy. I purchased an open box/like new 2022 version of the ROG Z and was denied by Asus. Best Buys 1 year warranty is more expensive than Lenovos 4 year warranty. I've been playing a lot of Helldivers 2 lately so I can take this to work and on the go.
