Zen 3 is KIND OF tolerable but why in God's name is AMD putting a 7000 series designation on a ZEN 2 chip??
They have a new naming convention that's a little confusing at first, but attempts to clarify this stuff.
In any case, it hardly matters at this price point. It's still a pretty awesome CPU in a sub $300 laptop. My issue would be the RAM rather than the CPU; 8gb is getting to be a little too paltry for 2024.
Where can I find this lappy (or comp) for $220 new (full OEM warranty)?
There is no such deal in the market at the moment. A similar config but an IPS display was available for around $270 sometime before.
What I meant is, the poor TN would need priced at a least $50-$70 discount (vs IPS) for me to even "consider".

Thanks for the clarification.
TN is acceptable to Ms SOZ for her applications.
Will report if I find the Vivobook 14 (full ASUS USA warranty) with an acceptable combo of price/performance.
This really should be about $199 NIB as a 'deal'. Outdated config is okay momputer (for my mine, who is 80+), but current price way too high for what you get.

$200-$220 maybe…
Waste of money and Time.
