Getting the "brown pants" from all the double burgers w/ all things set to extra. Just create another u/n. Place one order in the app, close and log in again place another order. Near unlimited offers.

Speaking of games!....This is a potentially serious issue! What they're doing is resorting to intentionally debilitating the app/website at certain times, so that you can't place an online order and use any of the offers! I can't attest to this occurring nationally, but there have been several complaints here on SD about the app/website being dysfunctional (or not functional) at times. I'm in the NYC area, and this seems to occur frequently in the early evening (peak time for ordering)! The offers disappear completely, and there's a message stating that online ordering isn't working! It's become routine (at least in my area), and I've confirmed it with several others at the restaurant (who are encountering the same problem). You can reinstall the app to no avail (I've tried it numerous times). When you attempt to use it again, you'll get another error message. You're just wasting your time spinning around in circles! Then, miraculously, an hour or two later, everything goes right back to normal (consistently)! I'm convinced that they're playing games! In a sense, this is actually another version of "surge pricing" (or whatever you choose to call it)! Once you're on the way or at the location, you'll be victimized by their game and be forced to pay full price! Most will be passive and deal with it (and that's exactly what they're depending upon). I'd strongly urge as many of you as possible to go elsewhere if you have a non-functioning app/website! If enough people do this, perhaps they'll stop playing this game. If you call them, they'll (of course) claim that it's a technical glitch, so that's just a waste of time! Perhaps it's only affecting certain areas, but the only way to combat this is to boycott Wendy's when they debilitate the app/website! If this is intentional (and it very likely is), then it's truly underhanded, and they deserve to lose business as a result....lots of business!
lol no way am I boycotting Wendy's when I've bought 6 burgers (with 6 jr frosties of course) for $6, so far. Just save the coupon into your "USE IN RESTAURANT" section, and walk into the building, and shut up.

I'd suggest that you just go to the counter and place two separate orders (using the two offers individually). There's no need to place an online order and then a counter order (as someone here had suggested). That just complicates things unnecessarily (and you might lose one of the offers in the process).
Unless you have a spiteful manager who enforces a ONE SCAN PER VISIT policy. It may be less hassle to do one mobile & one in-person. Even easier to do, if you have 2 accounts or 2 phones. You can do 2 accounts on one phone if the app has 1 acct and use acct#2 in your browser.

both of those deals require an app offer, and you can only use one at a time. So buy the burger, then load the fries offer and buy a cookie or something with that.
Thank you.

The phrase In-app offers is all over the app, idk what the website says but maybe they don't do offers there and want you to use the app.
it may be true but the post for this deal at top says

"Offer is valid Online or via App (Android or iOS) for Dine In, Drive-Thru or Delivery."

maybe online means something different than wendy's website Smilie

When did the Frosty's get so small? Have not had one in a while and ordered one yesterday with the wendys "free" frosty for a year deal and was surprised that the thing was about 1/2 the size of the last small frosty I ordered. Is the "free" frosty deal just smaller than a regular small frosty?

I was giving them the benefit of the doubt as well....until this nonsense occurred 8-10 times (conservatively) over several weeks, and I confirmed that others were experiencing the same exact problem! I'm unsure if they can limit it to a specific region, but at least here in NYC, it has to be intentional! Especially since it's occurring at peak dinner hours and repeatedly! Tried what you suggested, but when the app/website goes down, all is lost, and it's useless!
Still not really evidence of conspiracy, this kind of thing happens naturally all the time when companies decide to run a crazy promo. Think about it:

Wendy's is running one of the best no-strings-attached fast food deals on an actual meal item we've seen in years. The demand is going to be incredibly high.

Most orders are going to be coming in during peak rush hours.

A lot of fast food companies haven't kept up with the times as far as using scalable services like AWS for server tasks, and their servers are typically only designed to handle loads up to what they expect during peak hours. Wendy's in particular is somewhat notorious for having especially unreliable servers.

When you suddenly increase those peak numbers by a lot, the servers start to fail at handling requests, and things get buggy.

This explanation seems far more likely than there being some mastermind behind the scenes having secret code written to orchestrate order failures, especially at a per-city level. If you're convinced there's a conspiracy and want to gather real evidence of one though, try putting in a full-price order after your discount order fails a few times; if it also fails, there's no way they're intentionally turning down full price orders. If it goes through, you'd at least have a leg to stand on as far as having reasonable suspicion of conspiracy.

The Frosty Key Tag/Digital Tags are meant for a Junior Frosty only, not small which is probably what your last "Small Frosty" was. So., yes, they are about 1/2 the size of a "regular small frosty"

And you'll probably find it double peaks during the 1st few days of a new coupon and last day(s) of the promo where people are trying to use the new coupon or use it before it expires. Bet if tried on day 3 or 4 when most people have used it already and or waiting till the last day, it would be easier on the limited capacity servers. Some issues happen during Chipotle Promos when it last just a few hours.

Gotta say though, there is a passionate tin foil fast food conspirator amongst these forums whose gotta have it when they want it even if the offer lasts for 7 days and repeats weekly

The app crashing doesn't have much to do with the current promo. It was extremely unstable before too.

I also don't believe they're intentionally killing their app.
1. Customer opens app to place order for pickup or delivery
2. App doesn't work, but tells customer to just drive over to the restaurant instead
3. Customer is more likely to (a) drive there as instructed, and probably not get any app deals there either, or (b) eat somewhere else.

This app instability is losing them money. And after enough failures, people will just give up on them completely.

Yup. I don't know the specifics of what happens since I haven't encountered the issue, I just know the overwhelming majority of the time this kind of thing happens, it's because of idiots, not masterminds. Conspiracies leak. Information wants to be free. The risk of PR backlash if the public finds out far outweighs the benefits in this scenario, even if we assume the company were profiting from doing this, which they don't seem to be.

But yeah, while I could see a company turning a blind eye to deals failing at the drive thru, since customers they've already brought in are probably still going to buy something, I don't think the same is true for app ordering, especially if it's the entire app and not just the deal that's failing.

Do you mean iPhone or the "Continue with Apple" sign-in option. Just create a new account. Problem solved.
