I had very good experience with Logitech warranty. They sent me a new one when the little hinge that holds the ear pad broke on the red version of this. I don't know if sound quality is similar on both, but it sounds fine for a gaming headset, microphone is also not too bad, cancels the background noise easily.

I have a pair of the G430 (cloth ear cups as opposed to fake leather) and they work fine for me. However, the blue faux-leather that goes between the cup and the frame starts to flake over time so I would assume that would be the issue here long-term since the entire cup is made of that faux-leather.

These are great at this price. I had some last about 4 years. Sound and mic quality is excellent. Only complaint was faux-leather cups - but you can replace them with cloth for about $10.

I have had both, but currently have the Hyper X.

Hyper X have a metal band, but the monitors can't twist, so it makes using one at a time more difficult and uncomfortable (not that headsets are designed for that).
- I miss these Logitech's for being able to use one monitor and twisting the headset behind my opposite ear so that I can still hear the TV.

I do not like the volume control on the Hyper X being so far down the cable going from my headset because I pretty much have to keep it clipped to the bottom of my shirt in order to easily access it.
-The volume control on these logitechs are conveniently placed higher up, so that you can easily grab it at mid torso height and not need to clip it to you.

Overall build quality of the hyper x is a little better because they have a metal band and few pivot points (can't twist behind your ear without uneven pressure on the one over your ear). The Hyper X seems to have held up a little longer.

However overall, I think these Logitechs are worth buying at this price if you need a headset, and reassess later when these do start to wear out (about 2 years). Especially since the sound quality isn't much of a difference between the two.

For $28 it should be wireless?

Even at $80, you won't find a good quality wireless headset. Let alone less than $100 at non-sale price. There's cheap random Chinese brands, but their sound quality won't come close to this wired headset.

As somebody who grew up with dial-up internet, Logitech was a big reliable name for me. Then I got a pair of their wireless headset for the Xbox and it was the worst purchase I've ever made the shit like died and started to cut out within a year or whatever but it was out of warranty at that point.
From what I can tell the Hyperx brand is way better and more reliable than Logitech in regards to their headsets.

On the flipside, my experience with many Logitech products has been quite positive, with some of my Logitech hardware in use for several years. Only item I've had any issue was a $20 (regular price) Keyboard and Mouse combo.

I've had no issue with Logitech products outside of their headsets.

really? wow I guess im just out of touch. I always bought earbuds and a pair of true wireless earbuds from audio technica was like 27$
thought the same would carry over to headsets but I guess not
