Not a bad price, but not the deal they're proclaiming. They're $14.58 at Walmart every day. The 3 mil are a bit flimsy also.
Personally anything under 5 mil seems flimsy to me, this 3mil is easily bendable/crease-able with little force when used with regular paper.
I have had this product for a couple of years. I only use it once a month or so but it works great and is very useful when you need it. A lot of insurance cards, and hotel and airline loyalty cards are sent in pdf form by email now. Laminating turns these paper cards into useable cards. Sure most of the time you only need the number but isn't it easier to hand over a card than recite a number? And sometimes the medical receptionist will (incorrectly) only accept an insurance "card" —not a number.

Anyone has experience with these and ones from Amazon Basics? I searched through reviews, only found comments from people who bought these when Amazon Basics weren't available, saying they are comparable. Amazon Basics are still cheaper per sheet when buying 200.

A laminating machine is like 20 bucks, and is worth it. I use mine all the time.

This "deal" caught my eye because I have the Amazon basics and they delaminate sometimes, and I've used about 20% of them

I've tried both scotch and Amazon basics. A.Basics are noticably flimsier. For example, when you hold scotch from the bottom, it will stay straight. If you hold the A.Basics version from the bottom, it will do a "half roll" and not stand straight up. I'm personally not going to buy anymore A.Basics and stock up on these Scotch.

By the way, the dry erase Scotch are significantly better for writing with dry erase than regular Scotch ones

We're about 1/3 way through the 200 back of Amazon Basics, and none have delaminated. Sometimes the front edges curve up, which might be operator error. I am using Scotch laminator, if it makes any difference.

So what's the best way to laminate B5 size paper?
Size is 176 × 250 mm or 6.9 × 9.8.

Not sure if they sell B5 or B6 laminator?
Just not sure how I will cut them straight consistently.

Might be better off getting 11x17,could fit 2 B5 sized papers.
9.8 × 13.9, so should barely fit 2 pages.

It's not operator error. The Amazon basics are not a good product. I thought my laminator was going bad at first until I used the scotch brand and I had no issues with those. I went through more of the reviews after that, and I noticed people were giving it a five star rating even though they would say the ends curled.

Not sure if I am inserting the sheet incorrectly or looking at the laminator wrong while it heats up, but the ends never curled on mine, and I have a Swingline laminator.

Are these like a computer printer, cheap for the device, ultra-expensive for the lamination sheet? Also, can you use smaller sizes or is it the big sized lamination and then cut to size and waste a ton of plastic. PSA: Don't laminate valuable stuff like unique monetary bills, social security card, etc. lol (you can't unlaminate)
