If you can install a battery in a remote, you can install memory in a pc.
It looks like you can switch the RAM to 2x8GB sticks for free.

If you're wondering why you'd want this over 1x16GB, it's simple: Dual Channel bandwidth.

By running in pairs, you get more performance than a standalone stick.

If you aren't upgrading the RAM as soon as you get the system, this is a free performance upgrade.
Check your credit card company, often you can get a extra 3-15% back. Even microsoft coupon finder will save you an extra 5% right now as well.

Also anyone able to confirm if you can get 10% off using the new customer coupon and the discount thats already on the machine through dell, I think I asked a rep one time, and they said its one or the other....

Hopefully dell matches this price. Those idiots wouldn't match Amazon before.

you can spend 600 with amex and use chase for 5% off 400 left over, chaching.....
This was genius... It also gave me enough points to apply an extra '$10' credit from dell for that $600 charge, then put the rest on the chase card.
Thanks for the tip!

only downside is you may have screwed the extended warranty amex would give you

Actually I'm wrong...but you would need to file a claim with AMEX and a claim with CHASE...they both would cover up to the amount charged to the card!...Good to know! There were some cards that in the past would only give extended warranty if the full amount was charged to the card!

If you bought 3 of these Crucial 16GB sticks, would you be able to pair them with the 16GB this system already comes?
Motherboard only has 2 memory slots, so you could buy one more 16G if you wanted 32G in full dual channel, or a 32G stick if you wanted 48G but performance would suffer a bit vs matched pair.

4 slots of DDR5 can be problematic and/or requires much more power (so more expensive motherboard design etc) so a lot of them are only putting 2 slots now. Too many support calls regarding 4 DIMMs not running at advertised speed and/or not booting at all.

the 14700 offers something for none gaming tasks. I've read it has more cores and performances at a 13900k level for cheaper and less heat.
You can compare on intel's site.

The 14th gen i7 has some more E cores and a bit higher clock speed, but still doesn't bring it up to the same level as the 13th gen i9 and definitely not i9k.

The i9 and i5 14th gen are just a small step up in clock speed, nothing worth paying a premium for at this point.

The i7 14th gen may be worth considering if you're doing a lot of video rendering or other intensive multithreaded stuff and don't want to pay to step up to the i9 (13th or 14th gen). However you definitely need to get the water cooling as both processors will likely get thermal throttled to about the same performance in that use case otherwise.

May make more sense to just pay the $50 upgrade (less after coupon etc) for their liquid cooling.

Issue with liquid cooler is limited lifespan with them drying out.

How quiet it the 4060 TI card? I'm used to using the onboard Intel graphics...will it be quiet if I'm not gaming or something? Gonna be running a 4k tv and a 4k monitor off it
