If someone posted a 24 oz bag of chips for $9.74 we'd all laugh.

But divide it into 24 separate little pieces of trash and suddenly it's a deal.
I bought these once thinking they were vegetables and healthy but they are still just potato chips.
Exactly.
What's wacky is that there's more oil, salt, and even SUGAR than non-potato vegetables in this crap.
In a more sane country, these'd be called "colored potato chips" by law. Seriously.

INGREDIENTS: POTATO FLOUR, POTATO STARCH, EXPELLER
PRESSED CANOLA OIL AND/OR SAFFLOWER OIL AND/OR
SUNFLOWER OIL, SALT, CANE SUGAR, DEHYDRATED SPINACH,
DEHYDRATED TOMATO, POTASSIUM CHLORIDE, BEETROOT
POWDER (COLOR), TURMERIC (COLOR), SEA SALT.

Most snacks are like that - big bag is cheaper per ounce than little bag. That doesn't make it a ripoff.

Ever heard of lunchboxes?

If you have a bunch of kids to serve, those small bags are a lifesaver and provide value. Have you ever tried to re-bag fragile snacks into zipperbags for lunchboxes? I have. It doesn't turn out well. The zip bags don't stay puffed up with air like the manufactured bags. They leak the air, flatten, and the chips get crushed before lunch.

It also solves the eternal "he got more chips than me!" problem that kids create.

Probably further ahead by buying the pillow sized bag at Costco and throwing half out. Using zip locks if they go into lunches.

Yep. Not a health food. A snack food. Potatoes are vegetables, so potato chips are also veggie chips.... My kid likes them better than other chips.

Mine just arrived.

The small bags suck. Unlike Lays products, there are too many chips and not enough air in the bag to protect the chips in a lunchbox.

In their defense, nowhere in their advertising do they claim it's healthy. Just that the kids will love them, which in my experience is actually true.

"Garden Veggie Snacks Garden Veggie Wavy Chips are crafted with a unique texture and are full of flavor. The waves give our chips a satisfying crunch combined with the delicious taste of sea salt in each and every bite. Perfect for enjoying with our without dip, our Sea Salt Wavy Chips are sure to please your entire family, even the kids at heart."

In England Pringles are not potato chips, aka a junk food, because Pringles argued in court that there isn't 51% potatoes in them. This way they don't need to pay for the junk food tax.

In sane countries the citizens wouldn't buy junk food.

As a comparison, BJ's currently has 23.5 oz. bag of Veggie Straws for $5.74 (after $1.25 off)…

But wait… is this a deal or not (say you're buying these anyway for a kids bday or lunch bag)?
