Thanks, OP. I ordered one. I expect delivery in two weeks. It will replace my low-hour usage 2018 Samsung 34" CF 91. It's so sad that Samsungs don't last that long. I paid $600 back then. For $280, it's a pill I can swallow.

Had a 'Sammy Q70 32" VA and it was not great - washed out colors and terrible HDR. Started artifacting when I booted up and I just gave it away. I HATE VA panels. IPS is way better!
Costco has LG 35 inch. same price. Does LG make good monitor? the review is ok
i bought an LG 35 inch one time, doesn't have that aggressive curve as Samsung, but LG has this really annoying buzzing noise coming from both power supply and monitor it self it drives me nuts.
Low input lag, quick response time, 165 hz refresh, native freesync, 34" wide, all for under $300
Please tell us what its missing to be considered a "good" gaming monitor?
Good pixel response / clarity with movement is what it's missing. check out the motion section on this review page. you want to see nothing but green boxes in all the grids https://www.rtings.com/monitor/re...g5-c34g55t

I have the LG 38" Ultragear. It had a faint buzz to it but when I just upgraded to a new system the buzz is now gone. So I am thinking the buzz was connected to the 1200w PSU.
Now using this.

paid around $370 after tax each and although the refresh rate and resolution is aiight,
the build quality is cheap, stand is crap, color is so wash out and backlight is so dim.
I really dont' know why both Samsung that both use VA panel has such huge difference, but its the only 34 inch ultrawide with 1000r I can find...
for $280 its a steal

Alienware stuff sucks, but their monitors are always top tier.
