I got a refurbished supersonic thinking it was a great deal, but then all kinds of problems arose. Thought Dyson has a warranty, no problem, then spent about a month chasing down where the replacement was and being given the runaround several times a week. Got the replacement, which was also a refurbished unit with problems, but figured I don't want to deal with their warranty again. Maybe there are good units and you get lucky, but if not it sucks.

Yes there is a possibility of getting a great deal.
I got one that smelled like it was used in a dog grooming business. Sold as like new but the label on the Box showed Grade C, which was
a generous grade. The unit had extensive wear and tear.
I asked for a refund, and they just kept stalling. Trying to get me to miss the 30 day period for filing an item not as described case
I knew that scam. Here is the weird part. I filled my case the first day I could and won the case in 15 Seconds and was issued a full refund by Ebay. My guess is Ebay has had many, many complaints.
Even though I had received a full refund from Ebay, Dyson kept sending me messages to stall the case and try to get beyond the 30 day limitation for filing the item not as described case. We need just a couple more photos, we need the receipt, we need the Ebay transaction number. This continued for 31 Days. I then got a message that Dyson had closed my request to return. A couple of months later they sent a message we noticed you received a refund, is that correct?

I just receive the order. No issue and it seems like new. Smell normal and no heavy scratch. I used it a few times and it runs normal. So far I bought two products from eBay Dyson and both are ok. I filed a claim for an attachment for the vacuum and to my surprise they just shipped a new one (listed $100) to me without asking for any proof or returned the defect one. I know this is not the lowest price and I found out it is quite difficult to find a refurbished one. The new one on sale could be as low as 300 or 350, but that kind of deal is not always available.
