PSA: there's a high chance [dynomight.net] that ultrasonic humidifiers create dangerously bad air quality which can negatively affect your health. Other types of humidifiers do not have this issue.
Not that this website should be an empirical source on the matter, since it looks sketchy as hell, but how was your conclusion that "other humidifiers do not have this issue"?

If you scroll down, that website clearly shows that garbage in = garbage out, regardless of the type of humidifier.

If you're introducing particulate matter into the air that isn't designed to be inhaled it always comes with a potential health risk.

It's less about the type of vaporizer than the material going into it.

Does it significantly increase the humidity of the bedroom? I'm running a dehumidifier 24/7 and keeping it under 40%

Warm mist (steam) or evaporative humidifiers leave the contaminants behind. With an ultrasonic humidifier, all the lime scale and everything else in the water is distributed into the air.

No idea why people are downvoting you. Cool mist without pure water is literally air pollution
so using distilled water will solve this issue? lol

Yes, if you have distilled water available 24/7… but you would still need to keep the machine free of mold. Otherwise warm mist is the way to go

Watch it they are selling these and charging credit cards and if they cancel them they are not putting the balance back on your card but Refunded as points. I found out the hard way and filling disputes against Walgreens for this shady practice.
