This is probably a pass for most people unless you have very limited charging needs.

1. You need to buy a USB-C DC adapter capable of 10 watts or more, which will add quite a bit to the price.

2. Lots of complaints the grip is weak and larger iPhones in particular fall off when going over potholes/bumps.

3. This model by Belkin is "MagSafe compatible" - NOT MagSafe certified. iPhones will only take 7.5W max for uncertified devices (like this one), unlike MagSafe certified devices which will deliver 15W of power via MagSafe with an adapter of 23W or more (9V/2.56A USB-C PD profile). Belkin has a model called the Boost Charge Pro car vent mount. Spigen has a dash mount called the OneTap Pro 3 that is magsafe certified and 15W capable.

If you have an iPhone and plan to use GPS/screen on, I would recommend you save up for an adapter with twice the power (Magsafe certified).

If you are merely using a Magsafe compatible case on an Qi wireless charging Android device - those don't need to be certified, and you can buy 15W magsafe compatible mounts for a similar amount of money on Amazon... you have a variety of choices from a variety of brands in that case.

Little off-topic, but as an alternative, I bought one of the Lisen magsafe chargers that were advertised here not so long g ago, and I am extremely happy with it. About the same price as this one(posted here every so often) , grip is really strong, charges my phone really fast. Also got their cigarette lighter adapter for 5 bucks, so for about 20 bucks, it works great in my car.

It lists 10w charging. Does MagSafe do 10w charging? I thought it does 7.5w base/15w apple certified accessories?

I tried buying another Belkin (a battery) product that said it was for magsafe and I also found the magnets to be really weak. I ended up returning it

I've had this for over a year (bought during BF 2022). I have a 14 Pro and I have never had an issue with it falling off the mount and we just came back from Death Valley driving over those unpaved roads. Regarding power, I just have it plugged into USB adapter from my previous charger...it's unbranded USB-A port with a micro-USB pigtail. No clue what the wattage is, but it can't be special and I've never had issues charging phone with GPS/screen on.

The biggest gripe I have is that the clip is prone to sliding and if something is going to fall out...it's going to be the clip sliding out of the vent - but even in Death Valley that didn't happen. I have had a couple times where I've gotten temperature warnings while using GPS and charging on a hot day...but that's also a rare thing. But largely, my experience has been opposite of what you're posting here.

Likewise. I never faced any issue with it. This was in fact one of those accessories that I used most often

Bought 1yr ago and uses it everyday with a 14pro max then and a 15pro max now. Paired with Apple leather case or good quality case that has good magsafe magnet. It shouldn't fall off if you goes over bumps. Charging speed is to be expected for this price.

Just like what others said, the weakest point of this is the vent clip mount that will slide over time. The charger does get hot and you can get phone temp warning if in direct sunlight with no ac on.

For the price, it's fine. Just don't expect fast charging and be mindful of the heat.

Bought this used like new from Amazon in 2022 for $20 (including USB charger). Still working perfectly in daily use. While magnets are not as strong as others I've used, it's strong enough where phone never fell off. Using a Pixel 7 with Mous magsafe case. It charges faster than Google Maps and Spotify drain the battery. Cannot comment on vent clip as I use ProClips. I especially like the vertical magnet where it keeps the phone perfectly aligned vertically for my OCD. Most chargers don't have this.
