Invicta has a well-earned reputation for overpriced, low to mid quality time pieces, but the pro diver is still a classic beater / entry automatic watch when you can find one on sale like this. It's just important to have a realistic expectation with the brand. Hard to complain about a Seiko NH35a movement in a $40 watch though!

Exactly. I mean, that's basically what one would pay for a bare NH35 anyway lol. I'd consider buying this just for the parts alone lol.

The iridescent metal is so obnoxious lol but I think it could look alright on a black silicone or nato strap. Could do a lot worse for 40 bucks 🤷

No, nothing can save an "iridescent plated" watch, homie. You could also do much, much better for $40.

I've been on a cheap watch kick lately and your comment almost made me pull the trigger - then I remembered the sides of the prodiver read invicta in big letters, so I did some googling and found this https://www.ebay.com/itm/29461319...media=COPY the 5th picture shows big yellow invicta branding. Ewww
