~$5 per filter "on sale" is awful.

Not really. I just paid $40 for these a few weeks ago on Amazon. It is a decent deal.

I love my unit with a 12x25 filter that like no one carries.

Furnace filters are something I would never order online. They smash way too easy. I always get them in person and have to dig through the boxes to find ones that are in good condition still.

Last time I ordered these there was a sticker saying the Merv. Under it was a lower rating.

I've ordered Nordic Pure furnace filters directly from Nordic Pure, shipped to myself and to a family member in another state; both sets arrived in perfect condition in very sturdy boxes.

I wonder if it would be viable to stack 2 of them to place in 2 in h thick spot... And if it were, would throw away one in front when time to change, and put new one in back....

oh well I guess if it were viable, would need much lower merv than furnace requires, course would double it...

Actually..I have had better luck ordering them online as they come in a sealed box. The ones at the store are often manhandled
