Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) via the Arbor Day Foundation is offering a Free Tree to Qualifying Residential Customers when you follow the steps below. Shipping is free.

Steps:
  1. Visit the Offer Page
  2. Enter your Street Address to check if you are eligible
  3. If eligible, you will be prompted to highlight the structure of your home with the tool on the page
  4. Select One Option from the available trees, click/tap the picture to select:
    • Quaking Aspen
    • Water Birch
    • Western Sandcherry
  5. Place the tree on the map near your highlighted area / home then hit Next
  6. Fill out your details and verify the agreements on the page / sign where applicable and complete your order.

Do NOT, under any circumstances, plant Aspen in a typical, subdivision yard. They are the 'weeds' of trees. Yes, they look pretty for a while. Their roots often grow shallow roots and mess up the yard. They send out hundreds of shoots. They get diseased. Then, the best of all, after you cut it down, it spreads like Medussa and is almost impossible to get rid of. I speak from experience. NEVER again!
