I've owned a few DJI drones and after getting a Mini 4 with RC2 remote and I will never own another drone without a screened remote! Hands down so much better experience without having to use phone's app.
I would be careful buying DJI drones right now. There are proposals about banning them - effectively grounding all models. Don't get me wrong, I love their products but the entire drone range is quite probably a risky purchase at the moment. https://dronedj.com/2024/03/13/st...in-the-us/

Connectivity seems to be significantly quicker, better brightness, hated having to connect the cord to the remote!

Agreed. I recently picked up a Mini 3 Pro with the screen and it's a world of difference... I was borrowing a friend's Mini 2 prior to this that had the controller that you have to hook the phone up to. It was kind of a PITA having to do that every time (had to remove the protective case on my phone before connecting it - I did have an older phone too so it probably wasn't the most optimal experience but it worked. Getting everything setup was a pain though). With the screened remote it's pretty much "turn it on and go" which is nice and makes the overall experience better. I was impressed that they basically have a version of Android running on the remote and it has some extended capabilities and what not as far as connecting to your home network, etc...

I had no idea they were at 4 already....my 2 was (is) awesome, but now I want a new one. :-|
