Nice! I've been wanting the alijos 400, but I'll take the 300 for this price.

They aren't comparable to either as both of those companies are leaders in their respective markets. Piscifun reels are a good value, but you aren't getting a $200 reel for $60. However, for a high-speed, higher-capacity, low profile reel that I won't cry if saltwater kills, it seems like a good choice.

Any of those reels are complete sealed? I don't use baitcaster, I use spinfisher6.

No, they aren't completely sealed. I don't know that any baitcasters are. The Spinfishers are excellent reels. I have a couple and a couple of Pursuit 4 reels. I do prefer baitcasters, specifically low profile baitcasters and these have a high-speed retrieve which should do well for inshore

It's garbage. It doesn't compare at all. Plastic components, poor machining and alloys. You get what you pay for, and in the case of Piscifun, you probably pay more than what you actually get.

I have thousands of reels
No super high end reels... A couple van Staal spinning and fly and steez and conquest are about highest priced.
The piscifun (have not tried any spinning)
- they are exceptional depending on price.

I mean I picked up some alloy m direct from Piscifun for I think it was $26
Picked up alijoz 300s for about 55 to 70
The alloy m are really smooth and tight meaning wiggle handle back and forth testing forward movement and anti reverse and no real play and no play in knobs.
They don't cast as far as some but then my zillion and steez are many many times more. They cast much further in most situations than my calcuttas.
I fish in salt and pretty indestructible.
The allijoz is better than my abu Revo Toros (basically size equivalent). I certainly wouldn't spend the 150ish or whatever piscifun has been trying to sell them for, for many months now.
The piscifun fly reels sword (purchased at 35) and Platte pro (60—70) are absolutely bonkers value. Better than reels costing 8x as much

I also strongly advise if you are right handed get a left hand baitcaster. It's relatively stupid to not use your dominant arm to hold and manipulate the pole.
Almost everyone can learn to move their non dominant hand in a circle and if you fish spinning you're already doing that.
Conventional reels on boat rods for huge fish is about the only time you should be using your dominant hand to reel... Im talking 200 to thousands of lbs fish where you mostly need to reel as hard as you can. Baitcasters and spinning under giant size you should never apply much force to your handle and only in a circular plane

I've never used a baitcaster. Essentially be using spinning for the last 30 years. Are any of these good entry level reels? I don't want to break the bank.

I'm in Northern Indiana and fishing for bass, panfish, and the occasional walleye and trout or salmon. Mostly in ponds, lakes, and I'm just getting started in rivers. 4 pounds is huge to me. Unless I want to go for some carp or catfish, just for fun, but I know I'll have an adventure on my hands!
