The 1 star reviews are very concerning: at least 3 reviewers state the surge protector fried their equipment. I would slightly blame the users who fried their $3k gaming pc and multiple 3D printers since they likely went over the 900 joule rating, but another user fried both of their cell phones, which this should've been capable of handling. Many others experienced buzzing sounds coming from it with minimal devices plugged in. Most other 1 star reviews say the surge protector's usb ports or the whole unit itself stopped working after weeks/months of use.

I realize that even the most reputable and trusted surge protectors have failures such as burning/shorting out, but usually those are very rare circumstances. One user opened it up and saw poor soldering. I really wanted this but the minority of negative reviews makes me stay clear of it. Hope whoever buys it gets a good one.
Normally I take all reviews with a grain of salt, but the many grains of salt here is too much for me to ignore. Rarely do I see surge protectors breaking the devices plugged into them. I have mostly seen the surge protectors themselves catching fire, melting, or just stop working, but was caught off guard seeing the reviews for this one.

Some here will buy without reading my comment, some here will buy without reading any reviews and simply take the 4.8 star rating as good enough, but I still wanted to help those who're skeptical or on the fence or at least just let everyone know what they're in for if they get one of the unlucky lemons. For the most part I believe this product to be a good one, but I cannot risk breaking the things I plan on plugging into this (mainly my and my wife's phones).
Looks like a cheap Chinese knockoff product, but it is the lowest price it has been historically on Amazon.

They have over 35,000 reviews on this with 4.8 star average. 85% 5 star, 11% 4 star and only 1% of reviews are 1 star. I think thats had to beat.

Was considering a similar unit from Home Depot for $25 with no surge protection. Probably will go with the HANYCONY instead.

I have a similar one powering tv, 2 mini computers, surround sound stereo, two subwoofers, Wyze and Eufy cams, Nest, a couple usb cables for charging phones, and also had a Deco until recently. Been over a year and zero issues.

Well, the homedepot one has 15 amps while a lot of the power strips on Amazon only has 10 or 13 amps. Plugging your computers into this is fine but if you need to use space heater or anything that uses 1500 watts of power would be dangerous
