Looks like they are listing everything available currently, instead of the 1 item a day.

So for anyone that is looking for a recon festool item, you don't need to keep checking every day and hoping they list it. I had to do that when I wanted an ETS.

I'm sure there will be plenty of comments about the other green 1/10 the price. Does it do Wifi 6E, no hdmi kills it...

can a shop vac be used as dust collector?
It depends on what your doing but for power tool dust extraction you need the inches of mercury rating to compare the "power" of the dust extractor. There is a huge difference on these purpose built "vacuums". Fein, Bosch and Makita offer alternatives to Festool.

Yes, just get a HEPA filter and bag.

You can put an ETS 150 pad on the ETS 125, if we are talking about the EC. I wish recon listed them all before. I snagged the 150 when it was finally listed, I would've prefered a 125 and adding a 150 pad

Great idea, thanks!

Dust Extractor? Why don't they say "fine solid particle accumulator"

Come on, just say VACCUM.
I think there is technically a difference between the two, so those units that are truly dust extractors almost always advertise as such. I will casually refer to mine as a vacuum, but I get it from the advertising standpoint. The Festool Dust Extractor I have (CT 36) is night and day different than my rigid shop vacs. Far better at collecting dust, quieter, and HEPA filtered to boot. Bags are expensive, so I probably will add in some large dust separation before it gets to the bag, but really happy with the CT 36 Dust Extr...vacuum.

$115. Not cheap, but I don't think you'll be replacing it too often.

I learned that lesson the hard way. I have major regrets about investing in cheap tools that were a pain to use. I couldn't justify the Festool and Milwaukee prices at the time, so ended up buying a lot of cheap alternatives that just made my job much harder. Would have been better off just investing into these tool ecosystems from the start.

Milwaukee woodworking tools can't be compared to Festool woodworking tools. Festool is at a higher level.

That is not true! The new Milwaukee track saw is better than the Festool track saw if there is such a think as consensus on the internet. Also Festool tools are not as robust. Take there Systainers as an example. They are down right flimsy especially compared to the Milwaukee packout products. With that said there is not a whole lot of overlap in there product lines. That is why I have a bunch of both brands tools.

As someone with the 125 and thinking of adding the 150… thank you for saving me hundreds!

Exactly! Outside of very specialized tools, you're better off just going with Milwaukee. You'll never see me use Festool drills and drivers, even though I'm equally as invested in their tools.

You'll see what kind of warranty you have when you register the tool. I've gotten mixed results on stuff I've bought on the recon site. Some stuff seems to be actually new, and some stuff is clearly recon. I picked up a few things around Christmas when they did this bigger sale on the recon site, and everything that I received looked new, and got the new warranty. Last thing I bought was a sander a month or so ago, and it was recon. When I went to register it, it came back as already registered to someone else. I had to contact festool to get it registered to me, and then I was given the refurb warranty.
My domino and jigsaw were just delivered and both were completely brand new and still had their 3 year warranty!

My Rotex 150 appears to have been a dealer sample but registered with the full three year warranty

Glad to hear it! Festool tools are rarely discounted, so recon is the best way to get them cheaper than normal.
