I'm betting you've been there exactly zero times. Closest you've made it is New London, North Carolina.

If it ain't accessible via a Greyhound*, it ain't worth visiting, am I right?

*max distance one bathroom stop Wink

We flew on Norse before and they were great. We flew from Miami to Gatwick (London). Pretty barebones, but great service and friendly staff. There was no WiFi on our flight, but they did have free touchscreens on the back of the seats w/ free movies and shows to watch. No free snacks or meals. You have to pay for anything extra. So keep that in mind. Maybe bring your own food or buy the meal ahead of time.

I believe the personal item size for Norse shrank from what it used to be. It seems to be smaller than your typical personal item size for other carriers. We ended up buying smaller backpacks for our trip, because I was nervous of being dinged for being too big. We didn't have any issues w/ our backpacks. I'm not sure if they used the old style measure boxes or not though. Maybe measure your backpacks / personal items before you go.

One thing I noticed about the Gatwick airport was the food prices were WAY better than the rip off prices we have in the US.

In the Gatwick airport stores we could get a £4.99 meal combo w/ half sandwich, bottle of soda, and candy (Kit Kat) or crisps (chips). We ended up buying that combo before we left on our flight back to the US.

In the US airports you can barely get a water or soda for $4 - $6. US airports we have to pay theme park pricing for food/drinks. Ridiculous.

In general food and drink prices in this country are often way inflated compared to many other places. Especially for the better quality stuff. And you're right, it's far worse at places like airports, but also any tourist type of attraction - incl entrance fees. Doesnt apply everywhere of course but in general it's pretty expensive to travel in this country compared to many others.

You've clearly never been there. Some of the nicest people I've come across abroad. Great public transit system and so clean. I'm tempted to jump on this deal so I can revisit some sites that were under construction last time I was there.

I went there. All the people speak funny. Other than that, I loved it. All the museums and theater.

Why can't they speak proper American?

What kind of metal do they fly? Hopefully Airbus because I am actively avoiding Boeing planes.

London is crazy expensive right now, although most national museums are still free to enter.

LA to London nonstop sounds like some obviously unconstitutional punishment they give people in Texas.

One of the worst airlines ever. They cancelled our flight without reason a month before our trip.
