Lots of discussion in the prior threads.
It's a no name that seems to get promoted/exempted from SD rules but seems to work.
almost all recent reviews are paid Vine Voice. seems they're on a marketing blitz between that and these posts.
For my switch (non OLED), it does some weird things. If left plugged in, will randomly stop charging and let the battery drain down… and sometimes causes the screen to flash briefly instead of remaining off / playing on tv.
Overall, I probably would not buy this again for my needs.

I bought with that in mind as an alternative to my switch. I've only plugged it in and saw power and display worked, but haven't checked performance beyond that.

I got this one when it was down to $55 after discount code. Right now it's only $10 more. quite a few people recommend this one over the Fangor version as it has a much better screen for color and clarity. after having it for awhile I'm going to look for a 2.5k touchscreen version later. unless a good deal comes around sooner.

Works fine with OLED switch when running a 45W charging brick I currently had. Haven't tried it in the car yet with my 45W PD3 car charger. 🤔 maybe I'll go test it later today.

I bought the 35w for use with my switch and also tested it with my steam deck for a couple of hours and it worked fine, nothing strange occured. I then bought the 65w specifically for when I'm traveling with my steam deck and used it for about 6 hours so far without issue. I had some minor input lag, but I suspect that was the over decade old garbage TV in the hotel room vs the dock since I didn't experience that on any other TVs/displays I've used it on.
Frankly, these things are using standard PD charging standards with a display out standard mode. There's nothing too exciting going on to be worried about. I get people were freaked out by switches getting bricked, but that was Nintendo's nonadherance to a charging standard that was the issue. My main concern is that it's a no name brand power brick, but they claim to meet UL specs. Just don't leave the thing plugged in while unattended if that's scary to you.

Not this, it was an old nyko dock years back that made everyone weary of third party docks. Both Nintendo and nyko released updates that made it a non-issue within months, but it's basically made every thread with a 3rd party switch dock include comments with people concerned about bricking their devices even though it's been resolved for years.
Thank you, pur. You are probably one of the most respectful and honest moderators that I've come across and we have had these discussions about Slickdeals policies, at length, via private messages. However, if you are able to review my other messages with Slickdeals staff members, you would be able to see that the enforcement of the policies is on a pick and choose basis. I've had numerous comments completely removed just in the last 6 months for trying to share deals with the community. They were obviously not companies that I am affiliated with and were better deals than what was listed but because it interfered with the slickdeals bottom line, the posts were removed over and over and over again to a point of being ridiculous.
That being said, this product post doesn't meet the ratings requirement but I still found it to be a solid item. Not only has it had zero issues working with my daughter's Switch OLED but I plan on taking it on a trip this upcoming weekend. I have a portable touch screen and and lapdock for Samsung DeX use but I can see this Device being very handy to plug my phone straight into the TV in the hotel room. I have several USB C hubs that could do the same thing but the form factor of this plug just seems much more streamlined. I'll have to play with it more and provide additional feedback
