Even if this fridge doesn't have the poorly designed compressor
Why the heck would you ever consider giving this company your money if given a choice?
Do people have amnesia of how LG handled that debacle? And then icing on cake was all of their sneaky ways they slipped in forced arbitration on their customers?

For those in here mocking other posters concerned about this fridge... they have every right to be concerned and of no fault of their own. LG imploded the trust in the brand. Why the heck would you take LG's side and call people morons for asking questions?

I bought this a month ago. Here were my question points and some findings:

- LG Compressor issues. You can verify yourself on the spec sheet this no longer has the problematic "new" style compressor that LG had issues with. It's back to a more traditional style.
- Lack of ice in door. For us this hasn't been a big problem since water is already chilled. It's not worth the issues that the refrigerator/ice combo come with.
- This thing is cavernous. Both because there's no wasted space to an ice maker in the refrigerator, but also it being the largest you can buy, our cramped fridge became kind of empty looking when we swapped to this.
- Water in the door hinge area. I was worried about energy loss but after doing some math on the energy loss standing with the door open getting water it's, at maximum, a few dollars per year. The majority of the energy is stored in the temperature of the items inside and not the air itself.
- Costco Delivery. Was genuinely A+. No nicks, no issues except they were 15 min outside their delivery window.

Edit-
- A bonus I found out later is this actually does have WiFi capability. It lets you customize chimes, set and view temperature, enable Ice Plus, Economic Care and Smart Air (supposedly this analyzes your usage and does some pre-cooling type stuff to optimize energy savings), Sabbath Mode, Energy Saver, Light customization.

No it is not, idk why you are so obsessed with this. It uses part # BMH130NCMV, a standard reciprocating compressor. NOT the linear ones that caused all the recent problems. Older LG fridges with their reciprocating compressors before the switch to linear were as reliable as all the other GE's and Whirlpools.

That's not a reason to support LG. If they really gave a shit, they would put a 5 year warranty on the entire fridge with a replacement guarantee if parts or repair is not available for more than two weeks.

But they won't.

So I'll not support this company.
You are correct about LG does not give a crap about us.

Did you also buy it from Costco? I had the same exact issue. The compressor broke just 10 days before 2 year warranty.
No I bought it from Bestbuy. Would not be surprised if it is the same model.
Though LG has a lot of compressors break on people. There was a class action lawsuit about the same, which was settled in 2021.

One would think if you are going to make a part that will rust you wouldn't put it inside the part where the water is, unless you want a "subscription" type. Then you would make an easy to replace part rust. In my 20 years of owning dishwashers this is the only time I had to replace a part, and now I "get to" replace the racks for about $400 every 2 years, just ridiculous. I looked for non-OEM but there were none.

As for looking for a dishwasher that has nylon, none of the sales people could tell me what racks were more likely to rust and what ones wouldn't and I am having a hard time finding the information about nylon. FYI there is a coating on the racks but the rust is under the coating then breaks out. Someone once said I was too ruff on the dishwasher, it's only been used by adults and rusts not only on the tines but the support grid on the top rack.

I mention this because when the LG Rep said my only option was to buy a new rack, I told her I could buy a good brand and let people know on social media my experience and hopefully join a class action lawsuit.
(I'm ignorant) Could you get the new racks powder coated?

Agree 100% .. I have an LG dishwasher that's about 2.5 years old and used maybe 10-15 times over that time and still have developed rust. I keep the door partially open after running a cycle so it can all dry thoroughly but still had rust develop. Ridiculous

if it doesn't say craft ice, I wouldn't even consider looking at LG. it's the only gimmick they have that would make me consider anything LG.

Can anyone with this fridge confirm that exact width??? I have exactly 35.6 width on my cavity... and I really want this unit, but it's listed at 35.75" wide. Let me know, thanks!
its 35 and 3/4 or 908 mm. Weighing in on the LG debate. I did the research on the compressors, this model doesn't have the shit compressor everything is having bad experiences with. And concerning if you should support LG or not, every company has screwed over someone before for profit, what should be the deciding factor is if this model works or not and if the price right. I mean this is a steal at this price, sell the brand new mini fridge to a college student on offerup or marketplace and you get it for even cheaper.

I want this because my samsung has all the issues but jumping to LG with their history is like dumb and dumber. $1100 for 2 fridges though lol. Hard to pass up.

Ive had a LG french door for 14 years with the Inverted Linear , still runs like a champ! I just lost a Bosch dishwasher after 14 years and replaced with a Costco Bosch. Its a crap shoot as far as brands, most brands are made by one company. (sort of like lawnmowers) . Its cheaper for them to source it out. If my Lg fridge goes it will be a LG because my personal experience has been a positive one. Im not listening to all you people shooting from the hip on "YOUR" opinion. Ill listen to the deal aspect of the posting, but not your opinion!

after strong consideration ive decided to pass on this deal as it still seems LG has a lot to prove with respect to quality, as one of the posters above said, if the warranty was 5 years full parts and labor this would be worth buying, otherwise it seems to be a risky bet that it will last without fault after 2 years...

Wait I thought it was 5 years parts and labor? Or you mean like literally everything in it not just the sealed system?

it's 10 year parts and 5 year parts and labor for sealed system.
I would suggest to get an extended warranty

I'm debating on replacing my 15 year old Samsung(I guess I got a good one?) my old LG I had before the Samsung was really good as well and it was a similar type reciprocating compressor so I am hoping if I do this it will last but I'm definitely getting the extended.

I got the deal last time with the bonus 6cuft fridge with the intention to sell the smaller free fridge.... Nobody wanted to pay even $175 for the mini fridge, I still have it in the box in my garage and I decided I'll just keep it because it's crazy to give away a $400 mini fridge brand new in box for less than half

Well that is slightly less exciting.. I was hoping to sell it for like 250 and sell my old one for like 200.
