I ended up ordering this one instead for $262, USB 3.2 Type-C - https://www.ebay.com/itm/175410009441
Might want to wait on buying an iPad 9. New iPads are supposed to be announced on March 26th. Likely the 9 will be discontinued, and discounted
I bought the iPad 9th gen on sale around Black Friday. I hated going back to the "Home" button, and hated it being the only Lightening device left after I moved to an iPhone 15 Pro. I sold it within 2 weeks and bought an iPad Air 5 (it was very close in price to the 10th generation iPad, but a much better processor.)
I wouldn't buy either the Air 5 or 10th generation right now either though. An iPad Air 6 is coming out, and the 10th generation is likely to replace the 9th as the lower end iPad.
Cheers!

ETA: Might be a bit later than March 26, sometime in April? Lots of articles, this was a quick search.

Have seen some discounting on the iPad Air 5. 9 and 10 are on sale at same previous sale prices, $250 and $350.

I'm actually leaving Apple and moving back to Samsung after 1.5 years of using both daily, side-by-side, but that's a different discussion
