I've an eight zone sprinkler system, this is a 12 zone. 8 zone ones are more expensive than this.
will this 12 zone work with the 8 zone?
It will work. There will just be four empty wire slots for the unused zones.

Does anyone else have the Costco app installed so when you click on links it opens the app... But it never goes to the product? Just goes to the regular shop tab.Been driving me insane lately.
Do you have an ad blocker or something that might be interfering with the link? This usually happens to me with the Walmart app and if I recall it was something like that.

Thinking of getting this one to replace a Hunter XC Hybrid system with DC control valves. Builder left two AC valves in the control box that I can potentially use if they are in working condition.

Does anyone have a list of steps to change the dc valves to ac and swap out hunter system with this?

Have this same model. While I love the "smart features" of this system. It was the single-most difficult smart device that I have set up. For reference I work in IT and I put hours into getting this thing up and running.

I wouldn't buy this again due to that difficulty.
There is nothing difficult about setting this up. Not sure what your problem is. This is the best controller to have

I already have two older Orbit devices that work just fine. Is this worth the upgrade? I think my water company only offers rebates for ones that also check for rain or moisture
For me it was. The freedom to control zones through my phone was incredible. Especially the ability to customize when and how much to water from anywhere. It was also very nice in the fall when it came time to blow them all out, as I didn't need to walk back to the box to turn off the zones when it was done. I could just activate them from my phone and then when I deactivated a zone it takes all of about 3 seconds to work.

what is a restricted area like California?
Where I live in Socal there are severe watering restrictions (certain days of the week and only during certain times, typically for a max of like 4 minutes per zone).

Is this better than Rainmachine? I want to be able to remote without doing anything special like port forwarding.

Got one of these on the last sale. Haven't installed it yet but once I do it looks like my county's utility district will probably give me a rebate for $100. Just have to have it done within 90 days of purchase and send them some proof. Though they seem to require connected soil moisture sensors, not sure how much work that will be.

Could anyone please share the UPC for this item?

Also, is anyone using this inside the house? If installed outside, what are the options for the enclosure?
