Have been using this thing like 4 times a day, nearly every day, for the past 1.5 years. Totally worth it.

This isn't a great price, but I must say that the machine is great and has really grown on me from my initial assessment.

As an FYI; I purchased a 3200 last cyber Monday (11/29) for $549.
Someone in another thread posted that they were able to snag one on prime-day for $327; https://imgur.com/a/bswuiNy

So, a black friday or cyber monday sale price from last year is the measuring stick here. Seems legit.

As far as I can tell, $549-$599 for this model puts this in decent to good deal territory.

There is no way the $327 wasn't an Amazon Warehouse deal, it has never been offered that low New.

$599 is a good deal, $549 is the all time low.

Have been watching this and the Magnifica Evo for a while now. $599 is a good price for auto frother included.

Paid $650 for mine a few years ago and have loved having it. Easy gateway into the world of better coffee. A couple things I don't like are the smallish water reservoir and if it runs low on water mid-brew it will reset pretty quickly, so you have to be pretty attentive or you'll get an incomplete brew. It sounds minor, but then you'll find yourself screaming at the thing after the 3rd-4th time it happens

How's maintenance on this? Do they get you with filters or anything?

I bought the 800 series from Costco which is essentially the 1200 series on Amazon and everywhere else. It doesn't have the LatteGo or the other Espresso drink options but it does have the same brew group so the espresso shots that come out are all the same across all the Philips machines (and Saeco who they now own).

Coming from a Nespresso machine, these Philips Super-Automatics are a huge step up. I just couldn't justify $0.70 a capsule if I wanted to get the Nespresso brand capsules on sale which always tasted better to me.

After reading tons of reviews and tips, one of the things that people highly recommend is to take out the brew group and "work it" for a few minutes before making your first shot. This loosens up the brew group and allows it to perform better off the bat.

If you search on YouTube you'll know what I mean. They also recommend to NOT touch the grind settings until you use it for a while.

Then you can dial it down for a finer grind meaning more robust flavor. I think a lot of people who are initially displeased by these machines failed to let it get to optimal performance. As time goes it gets better and better. I use my machine for up to 4 shots a day every day. Love this thing.
