I actually prefer the old frame type to help you put it on than this new method, but it does work.
Just make sure you reregister your fingerprints after you put it on. I think that is what people aren't doing when they can't get it to work.

Unless things have changed, the reason for fingerprint issue is the technology behind the different models. The Ultra uses Ultrasonic and it doesn't generally play well with an extra glass on top, while the Standard and Plus use optical. Waifu uses the Plus and sensor has no issue while my Ultra gives me attitude. I found that if ur finger is oily, it works good...but the screen is messy after.

I see. Thanks. Although fact remains getting the same brand protector yields a better result with the Plus vs Ultra. Perhaps it's a design difference...
