I'm a huge fan. Deep blacks and nice contrast. It's candy for the eye.

These 'big' ultra wide monitor deals should not be titled as "gaming". I know the OP didn't label it that, LG did... but who in their right mind wants to game on a 14 1/2" tall monitor??? My 32" is almost 16 3/4 tall. I want to go to a 34 but the 34 inch monitors are shorter and that is not something I want to downgrade on.

Also, the width on this is 46"... to accurately utilize this particular monitor you would need it to be about 40" back from your face when you're in 'position'.

This is exactly the reason why I chose my 32" over a 49".

Pros: Nice monitor, 49" really big size, decent price, really good resolution, and for a change, this size 1000R curve is really good.
Cons: VA panel, No USB C port and no KVM.

Too bad OLED model doesnt have 1000R. There is the 45" OLED from LG w 800R but the PPI is way too low.

I believe the Samsung is an OLED screen. Maybe slightly better for gaming

I would say this is a better deal. More people probably are interested in the G9 since the G9 is the original 49" gaming monitor and the most well known? Plus this is costco only, not everyone has a membership. After reading a bit on this monitor vs the G9 and having the G9 (2022 version), I think I would prefer to have the LG for just specs. Read other reviews obviously for more real world experiences. I am happy with my G9 but I am one of the people with a G9 that has no image issues on 240hz/vrr/gsync/hdr. Don't believe you can go wrong with either purchase if they perform as promised.
