Does this or does it not have working Blood-Oxygen sensor/app? It says it does, but I thought Apple had to deactivate that on the Watch 9s. Has that changed? Anybody know for sure?

This does NOT have a working Blood Oxygen app
Series 9 and Ultra 2 purchased in the USA after January 18 with model numbers ending in LW/A will have the ability disabled. The Model Number of this watch is: MR8W3LW/A

I ordered one yesterday and just received it. The part number ends in LL/A and the Amazon item title includes "Blood Oxygen Sensor" if that helps.

What's further confusing is that the top description of the 41mm version did not have the 02 sensor listed while the expired 45mm did have the O2 sensor listed, seemingly suggesting Amazon is distinguishing, but reading further down in the model number area that doesn't seem to be the case. At least at the time of this posting that's what I saw.

Did you try the watch and the 02 function didn't work, or you assumed that was the case based on the model number?
I have not opened the watch yet. I'm still on the fence of whether I want to wear a watch at all - it has never been my thing. I thought at the sale price it was worth a shot, but I am still hemming and hawing about it.

i didn't purchase exactly from amazon, but i did buy the series 9 the other day from best buy (online via the slickdeals listing). just got it yesterday and it does have fully functional blood oxygen testing even when updating to the latest firmware. sadly that best buy deal is expired now but just trying to weigh in

Adding to this, the Apple Watch I ordered from Amazon with the model number ending in LL/A also has the blood oxygen sensor and app functional. I also performed a firmware update to the latest Apple Watch version 10.4 and the blood oxygen sensor and app are still there and working - nothing is software disabled.
Tl;dr: blood oxygen sensor and app work on Series 9 models ending in "LL/A"
Just bought it. I've had a FitBit for several years, time for an upgrade. Thanks OP, this is a good deal if not a slick deal, since apple products don't get heavily discounted.
