BHPhoto.com has open box DJI Mini 3 drone with screen controller, plus the Fly more package for 599. This is cheaper than the refurbished deal at DJI if you get the drone with screen controller (489) and Fly More kit (189). Fly More includes 2 extra batteries, charging hub, extra props and carrying case. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/pr...ji_rc.html
Can you provide some quick highlights about that's different between the non pro and pro of this dji model?
Mini has 12MP stills and 4K/30fps. Pro has 48MP stills and 4K/60fps. The Pro has collision avoidance and Active Track, while the Mini can only follow in open space. The Mini has a longer runtime.
Can someone chime in about the banning of dji drones? I read a few articles, but I am not sure if it is already set of 2 years or what exactly is being ban.

It's not a ban targeted at DJI but all drones in general. The FAA is just doing what the government does best: create nonsensical laws that have nobody's interests in mind except the government/corporations, which are basically the same thing these days.
When I first got into FPV drones I lived on 57th street on the West side and would fly my drones all along the promenade on the hudson river. I would get some excellent videos and it was cool to see the city from a different vantage point. The problem is your not supposed to fly drones anywhere in NYC and I was just blatantly flying it all over the river one time a park ranger came and told me that its against the law and and I left but returned the rest day and she caught me again and was not happy, ranting about how she can take me to prison for two years but after some smooth talking and offering to take her to dinner she calmed down and told me to never do it again, which I didn't, not over on the west side anyway.
If your drone is less then 250 grams then you don't have to register it with the FAA, I think NYC now even allows you to fly in certain designated areas but you have to have insurance and all other documentation which is horse shit. I never did have a DJI though, only the FPV racing drones which I find more entertaining but all this drone talk is making me want to rummage back through my storage and get them working again.
But to answer your question don't let the government dictate what you do (within reason of course) a drone can be used for so many different purposes from shipping to aerial reconnaissance or even just for pleasure.

Evidently someone was jealous of your purchase because they downvoted you. Sad..
Nice find. Looks like they're out of stock on the DJI website for that model. Thanks for the heads up though.
