This is a good price. I had this model for over 10 years and it finally broke due to metal oxidation. The unit was still running strong. I'd double check to see if this one has an outlet cord though. If not, it'll cost extra to buy.

Been needing to replace mine so good timing. From the pictures and model number, a power cord kit is sold separately, this is not the one with a power cord already installed. But for the price, I feel it's worth it.

Anyone know if this is a "drop-in" replacement for the Badger 1 (the 1/3 HP version)? As in, the outlet drain will be in the same location? I'll be honest, I'm not that handy with plumbing and such. I replaced my last home's disposal easy enough because it was for the exact model, so I'm hoping this is as easy.

Edit: the version with a power cord is about $13 more at amazon: https://www.amazon.com/InSinkErat...00PM8STLM/. Seeing as the power cord itself runs about $13, save yourself the trouble and get it already attached, if that's what you need.

Looks like the Badger 1 is about an inch shorter than this model but I would think the outlet drains and everything are the same. I think it's fairly easy to plug and play. I bought the 3/4 HP one to replace my old 1/2 HP one and they had some plastic tubing that allowed for diff height variances.

As far as the power cord goes, you can reuse your old one. If you do need a cord, one can be made from a 14 gage or better, outdoor extension cord if one can be found cheaper than the insinkerator one. Just cut to length from the male end, strip the wires and voila.
