I looked through a previous deal thread for this watch and it appears this seller sells a prototype? model with half the RAM and storage.

Great job! You are definitely putting in hard work! I know how tough it is and trying to continue after hitting a set-back.
How is the watch helping you? Are you in paid subscription program for the watch? Or a gym membership too? Let's just say I'm allergic to the gym but I walk & hike lol but I think watch reminders & built-in programs would help me.
Looking at getting a pixel watch but for now I'm still on a fitbit and they added this study to see if they can motivate some of us to be more active with prompts (which actually works for my brain lol).

My OG Pixel Watch worked great. I did not use it for sleep tracking, which meant it was fully charged every night.
Overall its a very good watch at this price point.

the thing is I am not putting in any hardwork I used to waste time and in 2019 I ran 2500miles and lost exactly 0 lbs.
what the watch does is give u real time data insights so u don't waste time doing workout or run which isn't working actually now I lost all that weight by doing about 1/6 the running compared to b4 and I don't even go to the gym .

just this week I fitted into small size for first time in my adult life
What??? And the watch was able to pinpoint your metabolism son perfectly to achieve this? I know AI is upon us, but we ain't there yet

Agreed -- I love mine (OG), but the battery life is pretty rough by any modern standards. It might last through the day, but like you mentioned -- you can't really use it for sleep tracking as well. Charging mine in the morning, it's usually very low by the end of the day and that's with the screen auto-turning-off and not using it for much besides tracking & notifications at night.

For comparison, coming from a $50 fitbit from years ago, that thing would easily last 4-5 days without needing to be charged, and using it for essentially the same things (fitness tracking + notifications).

Not a bad price all things considered, not as good as a whoop though.

I only have my own experience to share, but I bought the pixel watch 1 with the 15% off coupon last month. I left it on the PD capable charger overnight and but it overheated and pretty much destroyed itself. The battery would no longer charge properly, the screen constantly registered phantom touches, and there was even screen burn in. I went through the all state warranty claim process and sent the watch in and just got it back. They replaced the battery, but did not fix the display and claimed everything was functioning properly. What a joke. It literally says that there is missing ram on start up and the display keeps scrolling up and down by itself.
When you google this issue, you can find plenty of similar stories of the pixel watch 1 overheating. This is probably why they changed the charging mechanism to metal contact points for the Pixel Watch 2.
Long story short, I would not buy a pixel watch 1 again.

Can I ask why these smart watches only last about 24 hours? Is there a away to extend battery like to a week by turning off GPS, etc? I'd like a watch that lasts as long as my fitbit (a week).
