After reading some of these comments thought I'd add a bit more: no they aren't used, don't confuse the polyester ones with the modal ones as modal is quite different/soft, I would reach for Kirklands over these any day, I normally wear large (33) and tried the medium and large, but the mediums just don't fit right and the large is passable but seems to need more adjustment through the day where as most other brands I've tried don't.

Modal fabric is derived from natural materials. In my experience, it's breathable like cotton, but durable like polyester. I find modal briefs to be more soft and comfortable than either.
