Anyone know if multiplayer is set to always show as free download in gamepass? I like playing multiplayer and wouldnt want to lose it. If it stays on gamepass then ill be fine and would not have to buy.

I wasn't a fan of the open world at first but I picked it back up recently and had a blast clearing the fobs and killing the HVTs

Multiplayer is free to play. You don't even need XBox Live/XBox Game Pass Core.

I had the same reaction. I really didn't like the move to open world at first, but it's actually really well done. The mobility with the grappling hook makes for some really fun encounters.

Same as comments above about how fun the open world is.

Anyone recommend a similar FPS in that regard?

Wait, really? I thought an Xbox Gold subscription has always been a prerequisite to enable multiplayer lobbies for any game on Xbox since its original release. Also, I'm confused because the Xbox website shows that this game is free to download: https://www.xbox.com/en-us/games/...p5g1f0c2b6.

I use my old Xbox 360/One consoles as decorative dust collectors but haven't played video games in probably 15 years, so I know I'm out of the loop. But what am I missing? Why pay $15 from Best Buy when you can get it free from Microsoft? And do they somehow have an agreement in place that circumnavigates the Xbox Gold purchase requirement to play online multiplayer? Or is Xbox Gold no longer a thing?

Recent change for all F2P titles. They don't require the sub to play.

It's not an FPS, but check out the Just Cause series if you're into open-world shooter games where some physics-based random (and set up) events can happen. There's a grappling hook that functions very similar to Halo Infinite that you can use to grab things, gain and increase your momentum, then take to the air with a wingsuit
