I started hearing that term maybe 5 years ago. Don't look for logic. It's just a generic term for old, not for actual baby boomers. To quote Grandpa Simpson "I used to be with 'it', but then they changed what 'it' was. Now what I'm with isn't 'it' anymore and what's 'it' seems weird and scary. It'll happen to you!"

ALWAYS SET CHARITY TO MAXIMUM FOR HUMBLE BUNDLE TO OFFSET MOST PURCHASES. MOST PEOPLE FORGET OR ARE UNAWARE AND LEAVE IT ON DEFAULT. THE DEFAULT OF 5% TO CHARITY IS AN INSULT.
edit: wow I didn't realize how many people are against giving charity less money. I think this is partially due to how people see humblebundle. I've known about them since their creation where charity was a huge portion of where the money went. The reason why they have a pay what you want model is because of that original plan. You donate more to charity and donate more to Humble because you appreciate how much they gave to charity. 5% is an absolute insult to what they stood for previously. I'm not against giving publishers and Humble money, far from it, it's the 5% being the default that I abhor so I overcorrect it on my end to adjust the average given to charity per $18 purchase. I doubt there's a single person that can argue that the quality of a bundle is due to it being 5%. If charity got TRIPLE how much it usually gets on the default split, that's only 10% extra taken from the publisher and Humble cut. By opting for the "extra to charity", publishers get $14.37 instead of $16.25. Oh no the travesty, they're going to go absolutely broke.
Bought this one instantly. ULTRAKILL, Turbo Overkill, Forgive Me Father 2, POSTAL Brain Damaged were on my wishlist. I'm getting some boomer shooter fatigue so it was hard ask to buy any of these at their historical lows.
My two cents on Prodeus is to look into the reviews. I was honestly disappointed with it.
- Checkpoint system makes the game trivial. The game doesn't load your last checkpoint on death, rather it spawns your character at last checkpoint location on death where you also have infinite lives with the same world state as when you died. You can either force yourself to restart the level on death or view the game as a high score being more important than level completion
- Enemy clarity is awful. Differentiating between enemy types and enemies with the background is significantly harder than any other "boomer shooter". May make it frustrating to play.
- Weapon swap is clunky. By default, you have 3 weapons bound to the "2" slot. If you press "2" 3 times in rapid succession, you'll still be holding the first weapon bound to "2". You need to wait for the game to display on the ui that you have a weapon out before you can toggle for the next.
- Hardest difficulty isn't necessarily hard
It's worse than DOOM OG in almost every regards but way more beautiful is my opinion on it. It's a shame because if they got good gameplay, the level editor would shoot this into the stratosphere in my eyes.
I am unable to purchase, getting:
We can only sell a limited quantity of Back with a Vengeance: The Best of Boomer Shooters. We have canceled your order and will not charge you.
