The feds would be fools to cut rates, but they're under relentless pressure by the corporations and politicians to do so. Powell should have kept raising the rates but he caved in and paused. The American dollar is in serious trouble. And you're 100% correct, if the Feds cut rates, gold will surge even higher and could hit 3K or more an ounce. The stock market will go up as well. The Feds will never stop printing money and that's why gold will always be a safe haven. Even if it goes down, it will always come back and surge higher. Unfortunatey, many Americans, at their own peril, do not understand or respect basic economics.
