Well, minus the receiver.
I have the LG CX.
Do you have issues with your PS5 coming on whenever you turn on your Apple TV and vice versa?
Seems to be a PS5 issue (at least).
Thanks in advance!
I have looked into it before.
I guess with how you've explained it that maybe there is no great way to increase the smarts of the various connected devices.
What I have been able to at least see as a pattern is that the last device used will wake up when a different one is turned on.
For example, my son watches Apple TV.
I just finished up playing on my PS5.
When he turns on the Apple TV it will boot my PS5 as well.
This wouldn't be so big a deal if the PS5 would go to sleep quicker.
Do you see that this protocol could be re-written in the future, and would it likely be compatible with old HDMI versions or likely just HDMI 2.1?
This is comparable to the premium Denon X series, and a step up from the S series.
I prefer Yamaha over Denon, as they tend to run cooler and more efficient, and sound fantastic.
I have a Yamaha Aventage RX-A770 from 2018 still going strong and performing flawlessly for gaming and home theater with some occasional music.
I simply connect the PS5 & XSX directly to the TV, a late model LG B2 OLED with HDMI 2.1, and use ARC to connect the TV to the receiver - which allows gaming at 120 fps and negates the biggest advantage of the most current AVRs (HDMI 2.1) in my opinion.
Maybe the next generation will have more compelling upgrades.
