Heads up that alot of the books on sale were published posthumously and heavily edited by his son, Christopher. You can see a full list on Wikipedia:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/J._...Posthumous
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/J._...blications

Many of these were unfinished, and it's up for debate whether he would have necessarily wanted them published even if he had managed to complete them.
The Hobbit.
If you're in the US and have a library card, a lot of these are available immediately on the apps Libby or Overdrive or Hoopla for free!

Thanks OP! Most of these also available via Google Play Books. Sadly the 75th anniversary Hobbit is still $10 there

I wonder how long until the copyright expires. I'm thinking Canadian law has it expired already?

wait if it's at 75th anniversary, that pretty much answers my question, most copyrights only last 100 years... much shorter in Canada....

oh wait again, I think it's 100 years after the author's death, not after it's written... I should stop thinking.

Never stop thinking!

I bought the 75th Ann Ed w/Audio/Video, but for some reason the audio isn't showing up as an option when I open my Kindle App...? I've used Audible in the past, but this isn't showing up there, so I am not sure where you go to be able to utilize the "audio" function...

I don't think it includes Audible.

From the listing: Audio/Video content is available on Fire tablets (except Kindle Fire 1st Generation) and iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch devices.
