This battery runs the 18" Milwaukee hybrid fan on medium setting for at least 12 hours before I stopped the test.

I have this on the chainsaw. It's amazing how long it last...wish I had the extra money to be able to buy this. I could saw all day!

I will second this comment as I too have used the 12 ah battery in the chainsaw. It's the only way to go. The saws are beast with this battery. Having a dual rapid charger and a backup battery will ensure that you'll never need stop…

That is awful tempting. And a lot of cash on batteries with expiration dates

Expiration dates are a valid concern. But I have Milwaukee 18V batteries that are going on a decade old and they still hold a charge and power my tools more or less as good as new, or close enough to it I can't tell the difference. So for me personally I am not too worried. And the warranty is excellent for a battery, long enough to give peace of mind in case there is a bad run of batteries as can happen sometimes.

Battery warranty is 2-3 years.
I've got some old packs and dead packs.. not bad for drills.. but these 12s are more or less for chainsaws.. you'll notice a difference fast when they start to sag. Still debating this, I have big sawing project coming up

Thoughts on the two 3ah + 12ah HO for 250$ (18ah total)? I don't need that much battery let alone 36ah. But it's the second best deal I've found. Do the 3ah HO run the tools just as well as the higher ah ones? Thought I read a comment ones the smaller ah are not as good as the higher ah. TIA!

It greatly depends on the tool. 3ah is useless in the chainsaw.. but will run all day in the hedge trimmers where the light weight will make a massive difference in fatigue. I'd value. The 3ah battery around $45 in retail, $30 resale... putting the 12ah over $200. Not bad, but not fantastic. Better if you don't have any smaller batts and could really use the 3ah for smaller tools.
