While I don't have a time machine, this has recently been $700-$770, so I don't think it's a deal at this price point.

At that point you'd be buying a Q990D, not a Q990C, and there would be even better deals on the Q990C to clear out old inventory.

Then next year we'll go through the same cycle when the new models come out.

I had originally purchased the Q900C with some 9500S rear speakers.
The Q990C is a much better system because of the rear speakers. There is a difference between the Q990C rear speakers and the 9500S rear speakers.
