It's refurbished by Dyson. I have great experience with their refurbished unit. Wife's hairdryer has been going strong for 5 years now.

I ordered one for my wife and it was DOA so I sent it back for a full refund. Although they took the item back without hesitation, they had me take photos of why it didn't work. The item looked used and returned, it even had stains from the previous owner. Honestly, I would not buy it again it was a huge hassle.
